Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this location. We went on a Friday night and it was busy but not too long of a wait and the service was great. Our waitress was great. Really on top of everything. I ordered a steak and it was cooked perfectly. I had my 3 kids with me and they made sure to get the food out to them really quickly. I think this is the only location left near me and it makes sense because it was so great.

So... I get an hour lunch break like most ppl. And my husband was able to meet me for lunch today which is really special due to its rarity. We choose this place. It takes HALF an HOUR to get one dr pepper. My mango lemonade is apparently too difficult for someone at the bar to make so even though I ordered it at the same time as the dr pepper I didn't get it. Seriously. Then our waitress seems seriously surprised that we decide not to order anything and just leave. Told her I didn't have another hour to wait. At least she didn't charge for the drinks. Went to Rumbi instead.

Yeah! 5 stars for a chain restaurant! Can you believe it? I can't! But it's true! I was looking for flaws, I promise, and I couldn't find one. We've been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. Great food. Great service. Even when it's crazy busy! Menu recommendations: - Jack Daniels flat iron steak. I always get mine medium rare and it's cooked perfect every time. It's got a great marinade in it that's sweet and flavorful and come with a side of the sauce. - They have great appetizers. The mac and cheese bites and the fried green beans are my fav! - They also have great sides. They taste fresh. And even if they're not, they got me fooled. - Great cocktail menu. If you're into that kind of stuff ;) this is actually where I ordered my first adult drink on my 21st birthday! I totally forgot about that! Just remember as I type great cocktail menu. I'm sad they've closed other locations here in Utah. But this one is not too far from where I live. So go ahead and enjoy Friday any day of the week!

Not bad for a retail chain. The ribs were yummy. Their jack daniels chicken was very tasty. Good selection of appetizers. What? They know how to make a drink called "AMF". Nice... I mean this is Utah, right? Quite impressed with their menu. Only complain I thought was the less than average size portions. Other than that it was a good experience.

Here is a Haiku describing my experience at this location: Good food and fun times Waiter was friendly, but lo, My glass was not full. In other words, the food was pretty good and the environment was fun and casual. I had the sizzling chicken & shrimp and was not too impressed especially because the shrimp still had the tails on them. I don't mind that so much except that the shrimp was covered with marinara sauce. My wife got the bleu cheese stacked burger and said that it was very good. According to her the fries were awesome. If you are going to get dessert, get the salted caramel cake. It was pretty tasty! Although I feel like the food was a little overpriced for what you got, the service was welcoming and friendly enough. But, as was referenced in my haiku, our waiter could have done better at being on top of the keeping the drinks full.

After we were say (by the very unwelcoming host) we waited over a half an hour before anyone gave us the time of day. We were close to walking out. You shouldn't wait that long just for your server to acknowledge you.

Meh. They have a zillion TVs but when I want to watch UFC on ONE of them it's impossible. The manager explained to me that basically half of them are connected, which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Why have so many TVs if you can't control them separately? One specific tv controls audio so we couldn't change that one. I told the manager what channel and she still couldn't find it after googling the channel. I googled it in 10 seconds. The struggle is real. Beer is expensive, liquor is expensive, food is overpriced. One saving grace was that Jack was their well whiskey. I am impressed. I wouldn't come back.

Fridays always sounds good when you see their commercials but never seems to live up to the hype. I got the Corned Beef Sliders and baked potato soup. The soup had no flavor and was thick and gluppy, the best part was the cheese and bacon on top, when that was gone the soup was done. The corned beef slider on a pretzel bun was OK, very one dimensional, over powered by the salt on the meat and bun, the mustard added some relief but there was not enough to make a difference. We went for lunch, service was slow as was the food delivery. Lunch needs to be quick to fit into a 30min - 1 hour time frame, they did not succeed. When you factor in the high cost there is little reason to come back.

Firts of all when you go to restaurant you see the menu an the first thing you see is the appetizers. For me appetizers is for sharing with the rest of the group, but is not this way for TGI they told us we couldn't share our appetizers so I was really upset for that so I know I won't be going back to the this place.

I go to Fridays often for business meetings knowing they can get us in and out in a timely manner. We always come in large groups and they can always accommodate. Our food always comes out hot, fresh and correct with all our changes to the menu. Our drinks are always kept full while keeping a respectful distance while still meeting all our needs. The menu is ever changing they always have another great appetizer to try next! They will let you try the jack Daniels sauce if your not sure you'll like it and lots of other dinning comforts. I especially love the bar here and the variety of liquors.

I've been here often enough for business lunches that it feels inappropriate not to review it, though it's exceedingly unlikely I would go to it for any sort of personal dinner...at least not if it was my choice. Your experience here will wildly vary depending on who your server is and the service ranges from fantastic to very good. I can't think of a time I've ever had actual bad service at this location, which would normally net them an extra star...except for one small matter and that is having to eat the food. It's hard to say exactly where this falls in comparison to other similar places like Applebee's and Chili's, since all of them are constantly revamping their menus, but on service alone, I'd put it higher than either of those, which is a shift over the last 6 years or so, when I would have given the nod to Applebee's. The food is pretty similar across the board, with the exception of Chili's, which is dreadful to the point where I purposely try to avoid those. Same type of food, however, similar restaurants. Some of their stuff is interesting, like the Ahi Tuna taco things, but they take something interesting and then crap all over it by having plates too small, poor presentation and just an incredibly messy affair by not having the quality up high enough to match the novelty, especially in the tortillas. Most of their food is average, which means nothing too offensive, but nothing exceptional either. A lot of it is very sloppy and the quick tip there is that if it sounds like it might be messy, it will be...sometimes even if it doesn't sound like it might be messy...they do tend to serve it exactly as ordered, though and are, for the most part, reliable and consistent and you never really wind up waiting too long for anything from them, so consider this more like a 3.5 or so rather than a 3, but there is not enough there for that extra push to a 4.

Worst time ever. Waited 30 min to get a dirty table. There was food on the floor around our table (literally a lobster tail and fries ect). We received our cold appetizers before our drinks came. After receiving our entrees my wife found a hair on her steak, notified our waitress about the hair and then got accused about the hair being my wife's. My wife has red hair and the hair on her steak was black. ( our waitress Breanna G has black hair). They removed the meal from our check but we were rushed out, not even offered dessert. Won't return again. Save you money and eat else where.

  • Matthew B.

If you plan on sitting at the bar, DON'T. Three bartenders couldn't efficiently handle four bar customers. Drinks went dry, a lot of time sitting around waiting for the servers... Some of the worst service I've seen. I loved the TGIFridays that i have visited everywhere... everywhere but here. this place was horrible. i'll go back to tgifridays, just not this one.

Blue rasberry lemonade slush Strawberry lemonade Pinot grigio Apps: spinach dip. Clumpy, and bland. Have had much better at other chain restaurants. Cajun shrimp & chicken pasta Chicken piccata Both were bland and looked as if it was sitting under the heat lamps too long and probably were because we waited waaay too long to receive our food. This was my first time here and probably my last. Hopefully i just ordered the wrong dish and will have a better experience next time. There are definitely better tasting chain restaurants in the area.

Like other reviewers,TGIF is usually overpriced and a poor value. Not the case this time. I enjoyed the Korean beef tacos with rice. Very tasty and I would order it again next visit. Nice generous lunch portion.

I ate at TGI Friday's, against my better judgment, and with no say in the matter, for a business lunch last week. I gotta say, I didn't hate it! It's been about 2 years since I've dined at any of their locations (most of which are now closed), and back then I always left feeling less than satisfied. That was not the case this time. Our server was great! She had a good sense of humor and was very helpful with our large group of people (even with several of them making special orders). Our drinks were always kept full and our appetizers and entrees came out hot and in a hurry. The food was quite good. The fries were hot and crispy. My Jack Daniel's chicken sandwich was fresh, hot and tasty... and huge! I couldn't finish my meal. We had an appetizer sampler and some potstickers and all were very good. Of the 20+ people in our group, I didn't hear any complaints. I was very pleasantly surpised by this visit. Enough so that I may even go back again.

  • Jack B.

I have to give them a mixed review. When we got there the server seems to be pretty attentive to us and kept coming back to get our order. However after that the service really went downhill. I think we only saw him when the food came and then when the bill came after that. I ordered a hamburger, my fiance ordered a ribeye steak, and my daughter ordered the macaroni and cheese. My daughter snarfed up the macaroni and cheese. My hamburger was delicious. But my fiance's steak was tasteless. The steak did not have any salt nor pepper on it, but it was cooked correctly . The French fries were seasoned and very tasty. We had to stop someone else that worked there to get a refill on our beverage. The server did not even ask us if we wanted dessert he just brought us our bill. But maybe that was a good thing at least it was for my waist. All in all I would recommend going there to eat however stay away from the steak.

The food took forever!!! Seriously I wanted to kill myself and kept thinking "no wonder why the craze here died" well needless to say after waiting an hour for the appetizer, thank god they comped the check. I like the food but it's 50% experience.

I ate here with 2 co-workers for a lunch prior to heading to the airport for a flight. I hadn't been to a TGIF in quite some time as most of the ones I had known had closed in the past 3-5 years. It looks like they may be making a comeback as I see many popping back up across the country. In the past I have found TGIF to be heavily overpriced with subpar service and below average food quality. This experience was a little better but not one that would change my overall opinion of TGIF. One of my co-workers ordered the lunch special and after our food took almost 20 minutes to be served on a slow Thursday afternoon; his lunch special was a joke comprised of 3 "mini tacos" and a bowl of soup. The soup was terrible and the tacos were awful so he had to send it back. The server was great and removed the item and had him re-order a new item which he expedited pretty quickly. Surprisingly the waiter said he was not a fan of the lunch special either; not sure why he didn't speak up when my co-worker placed the order but nonetheless he got a new item in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the California Club sandwich with fries and it was decent but just average. I would not likely return to a TGIF and I tend to avoid the chain restaurants in general due to horrible service, subpar food, and overpriced menus,

I was all prepared to hate this place because it's a chain restaurant. We went here for lunch for Veteran's Day and the service was great. My friend got a free lunch for being a veteran and they even gave him a $5 coupon for his next visit. All our orders were correct and the food was actually really good. I'd definitely come back for lunch again.
